Premiere prepared by the theatre troupe led by Mordechai Mazo, 30 days after the death of Szymon An-ski (Shloyme Zanvl Rappoport) on 8 November 1920 in Otwock near Warsaw.
The performance was staged in Yiddish under the title Cwiszen cwej weltn, oder der Dibek or On the border of two worldsDer Dybuk. A dramatic legend in 3 acts by Sz. An-ski. The performance, directed by David Herman (1876-1937), who came from a Hasidic family, was also presented in Central Europe and the USA.
